Treetop Walkway and Snowtubing – Janské Lázně

by bus – by car – by train

In winter, the walkway holds great magic thanks to countless lights and illuminated animals.
A bit of adrenaline and a lot of laughter on the snow in a tube will perfectly complement the atmosphere of a wonderful day.

The Treetop Walk is nestled in the heart of the majestic forests of the Krkonoše National Park. This experience offers you the chance to explore the unique natural wonders of Krkonoše. You’ll immerse yourself in the mysteries of the local forests, from their roots to their crowns, and become a part of the forest ecosystem. Along this journey, you’ll encounter many animals and plants that you won’t find anywhere else. Both adults and children will love the trail, and it is fully accessible from start to finish.

The Treetop Walkway is open year-round (closed only on Christmas Eve), with the slide from the top of the Walkway available weather permitting. Opening hours vary by month, so we always recommend checking the official Treetop Walkway website.

In winter, the entiiiiiire trail is lined with lights and larger-than-life 2D and 3D models of forest animals. Check the website listed above to see when the trail will be illuminated.

How to get there: The trail is located in Janské Lázně, and you can get there by bus, train, or car. Starting directly from Žižkova bouda, the last option—by car—is probably the easiest. However, you can also take a direct bus from Pec pod Sněžkou to Janské Lázně (Hoffmanova bouda stop), a half-hour ride, and get off right at the trail.

There is a fee for parking at the trail and for entry; there’s also a restaurant at the trail where you can grab a bite to eat.

Don’t leave Janské Lázně just yet—there’s one more great attraction for kids and adults alike: snow tubing. What is it? We really liked the definition on the official website (which we’ve shared in the link below): „Snow slide for riding on an inflatable tube.“
