Žižkova bouda in Pec pod Sněžkou offers accommodation for **outdoor schools, ski courses, adaptation stays, sports courses, and other school groups**. With a capacity of up to 160 people, we can accommodate smaller groups and large schools all in one place.

We are located at an altitude of 1000 m directly on hiking trails, and in winter, on the ESO ski slope (which is part of the entire SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC). For your stay, we can arrange **full board, a hydration program, luggage transport, spaces for group activities, and assistance with organizing your stay**.

Accommodation for School Groups up to 160 People

At Žižkova bouda, we accommodate school groups from 25 up to 160 people, so we can comfortably host a single class, several classes, or a larger school group.

You can choose from two room categories:

Economy Rooms
2–14-bed rooms with a washbasin and shared bathroom facilities on the floor. An affordable option especially suitable for larger school groups.

Standard Rooms
2–6-bed rooms with a private bathroom and toilet, suitable, for example, for teachers or smaller groups.

For every 15 paying students, 1 teacher stays for free.

Catering for Schools – Full Board and Hydration Throughout the Day

We will take care of meals during your school stay from breakfast to dinner. For schools, we provide full board with three meals a day and all-day hydration. We also offer the option to order snacks (morning, afternoon, late supper).

Breakfasts are served buffet-style, and lunches and dinners are prepared with our younger guests in mind. Meal times can be adjusted to your group’s schedule upon arrangement.

Before your arrival, we will also discuss children’s food allergies and intolerances and possibilities for menu adjustments.

For school groups of over 90 people, we will provide a mountain guide or animator free of charge. This way, you can enhance your program with a group activity led by someone who knows the local environment and the Krkonoše mountains.

How much does a school stay at Žižkova bouda cost?

For schools and groups from 25 to 160 people (for stays longer than 4 nights), we offer an attractive individual price for the stay.
– For every 15 pupils, 1 adult complimentary.
– Luggage transport from Pec pod Sněžkou to Žižkova bouda is FREE in summer, in winter according to an individual offer.

How the Booking Process Works

  1. Fill out the form below (or send us the number of children and your preferred dates to recepce@zizkovabouda.cz).
  2. Our colleague Míra Hlávko, who handles our bookings, will get in touch with you.
  3. We’ll finalize the dates, accommodation details, meals, and program.
  4. You’ll arrive at Žižkárna. Before your arrival, you will receive all necessary organizational information from us.

How do children and luggage get to Žižkova bouda?

Protože jsme v srdci KRNAPu v 1000 m above sea level, it is not possible for you to reach the Chalet by bus. In both summer and winter, the bus will drop you and your luggage off in Pec pod Sněžkou.

In summer, we will pick up your luggage, and students and adults will walk to the chalet themselves (or by individual arrangement).

Transport to Žižkova bouda in winter: Even in winter, it is not possible to reach Žižkova bouda by bus. Students and their accompanying adults therefore travel on foot from Pec pod Sněžkou to the Chalet. Meanwhile, we will transport your luggage, skis, and cross-country skis by snow groomer from Pec pod Sněžkou directly to Žižkárna.

We provide this information as a brief overview for your understanding; we will discuss specific group needs individually.

What specific food intolerances and allergies can we accommodate?

These days, food for individuals with various intolerances, allergies, and dietary requirements is readily available (we’re referring to those prescribed by a medical professional). Therefore, we are routinely able to prepare menus free of lactose, gluten, and other ingredients. 

We just need to receive this information well in advance of your group’s arrival. We plan our food deliveries to Bouda in advance so that we can have meals prepared for all students.

How are students and their chaperones assigned to rooms?

We offer rooms ranging from 2 to 14 beds. These come with either private bathrooms or shared facilities on the floor. Depending on whether you choose to stay in our Economy or Standard rooms, we will gladly assist you with the optimal room assignment for your group and provide a room breakdown with bed counts. This allows you to prepare the room assignments in advance, making your arrival and initial check-in much smoother.

Can multiple groups stay with us at the same time?

Absolutely. Our Bouda has a capacity of up to 160 beds. If your group doesn’t occupy the entire capacity, the remaining beds are available to other groups, individual guests, families, and so on. However, we always strive to ensure that your group is accommodated together and according to your preferences (e.g., placement of students, supervisors, etc.).

How to purchase a ski pass and where to pick it up?

The most convenient way is to purchase your skipass online, which can then be collected at one of the sKiosks down in Pec pod Sněžkou. Physical collection of the skipass before your ride is necessary; without it, you will not be allowed onto the lift.

Most schools handle this by ordering skipasses online and collecting them directly down in Pec on the day of arrival. Alternatively, they can later head down from the hotel to Pec to an sKiosk, where they will board the lift.
